ChattersOnly Overlay – Privacy Policy

1) Overview

This policy explains how ChattersOnly (“we”, “us”) processes information when you use the ChattersOnly Overlay Twitch Extension (“Extension”). We follow Twitch’s Extension policies and only use the data necessary to provide the Extension’s features.

2) Data We Receive

Depending on what you do, we may receive from Twitch:

Channel Points redemptions: Twitch sends the redeemer’s Twitch user_id, user_login (username), user_name (display name), reward details, and optional text input.
Identity sharing (optional): If you click “Share identity” in the Extension, Twitch includes your numeric user_id in the Extension token so we can attribute actions and support deletion requests.

We may query Twitch’s Helix API for public info such as display name and profile image URL.

3) How We Use Data

The Extension may also post automated chat messages in the broadcaster's channel to announce interactions (e.g., when a viewer redeems a reward).

Render on-stream overlays and optional chat messages about interactions.
Maintain leaderboards, participation counts, and cooldowns.
Prevent abuse and ensure integrity of the Extension.

4) Legal Basis

We process data to provide the Extension features you request (performance of a service) and with your consent where applicable (e.g., identity sharing).

5) Retention

We keep interaction records and leaderboard data only as long as needed for stream features or until you request deletion.

6) Your Choices & Deletion

Delete my data: In the Extension, click Delete my data. If prompted, approve identity sharing so we can identify your Twitch account. We then remove records tied to your Twitch user_id for this channel and suppress future collection unless you opt back in.

7) Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Data is used only within the context of the Extension and the broadcaster’s channel.

8) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored data. No online service can be 100% secure.

9) Children

The Extension is intended for general audiences of Twitch and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

10) Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
